Chicago River Original Painting

Michael Birawer

40" high x 48" wide x 9" deep  Acrylic on 3D Wood  2008

The 3-dimensional painting, "Chicago River" is one of the first examples of using various textures and elements, such as metal and string, to layers of wooden cut out figures. With the State Street Bridge raised in the foreground, the river is green as part of the St. Patrick's Day tradition in the city.
